Information Systems Laboratories, Inc., a high-tech, employee-owned, technology-development company, is seeking applicants for a Junior Test Engineering position in its Energy and Space Division starting in Q3 of 2026. ISL’s Energy and Space Division provides comprehensive support to the nuclear and space industries including, but not limited to, safety analysis and assessment of complex engineering systems, computer code development along the entire software lifecycle, waste management tracking, risk management, and development of regulatory structures and evaluation procedures. ISL applies computer programs to simulate the physical behavior of commercial nuclear power plant systems during accident conditions to analyze of some of the potential complex safety issues associated with commercial nuclear reactors.
This position will be with the SNAP® development team. SNAP® is a large-scale software package written in Java and Python to facilitate building, maintaining, executing, and analyzing engineering simulations. This package is primarily used to assist with safety analysis of nuclear power plants. The selected candidate will be involved with assisting in building and maintaining the test libraries for maintaining SNAP® and its related plug-ins and updating and maintaining our CI/CD test environment. As needed the candidate will also assist with software development efforts to expand the existing capabilities of SNAP®.
The ideal candidate will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and be able to demonstrate proficiency in software development. Experience using Java AssertJ for UI testing is a plus but not required.
This position is a fully remote position, but must be based in the United States, with a preference given to the ET time zone.

Requirements
Experience with Java, Python, and Linux
Current and valid US Citizenship
4 Year Degree in CS or equivalent
Desired Skills
Familiarity with the following technology: AssertJ, JUnit, Ant, Maven, NetBeans IDE, GIT
Self-driven with good communication skills
Work well with remote teams
