Medical Assistant/Front Desk

Settings: Mental Health Outpatient Clinic
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and certified BILINGUAL Medical Assistant to join our mental health outpatient clinic team. This role requires a compassionate and reliable individual who can handle the demands of a fast-paced clinical environment and provide exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and have a strong background in front office and clinical medical assisting, particularly in mental health settings.
This position is for the closing and weekend shift, evening and weekend availability is required. Schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday (off Sunday & Monday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Spravato Treatments: Administer Spravato treatments with provided training and certification.
- TMS Treatments: Conduct Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments with provided training and certification.
- Referrals and Authorizations: Manage and process patient referrals and authorizations efficiently.
- CURES Checks: Perform CURES (Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System) checks for providers.
- Injections: Administer injections as required.
- Patient Interaction: Engage with patients professionally and empathetically, ensuring a positive experience.
- Reporting: Directly report to the Office Manager.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, providers, and team members.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to scheduling, patient check-in/out, and maintaining medical records.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Certificate in Clinical Medical Assistant required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of post-education experience in a clinical setting.
- Bilingual: Proficiency in Spanish is required.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the USA.
- HIPAA Compliance: Must pass HIPAA training and adhere to all privacy and security regulations.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in using medical software and performing clinical procedures.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in a team and interact with diverse patient populations.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of handling challenging situations and making sound decisions.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Computer and Phone Use: Ability to spend prolonged periods on a computer screen, siting, standing, walking, and phone calls
- Clinic Environment: Ability to work in an on-site clinical setting that may occasionally involve challenging or high-stress interactions due to the nature of mental health care.
Employment Conditions:
- This position is an at-will employment role in the state of California.
- This position is in-person only, requiring regular attendance at our clinic.
- Must pass HIPAA training and comply with all privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Full-time in-person work only.
