Job Description:
We are looking for a strategic and results driven Talent Acquisition Partner to join our HR team. In this role, you will report directly to the HR Director and play a key part in shaping our organization by identifying and attracting top talent. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with various departments and leadership, contribute to a dynamic team environment, represent Instron in the community and make a meaningful impact on our growth and culture.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Create and implement all phases of the recruitment process that align with annual and long-term organizational goals.
Collaborate with department managers to create detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria that reflect business needs.
Strategize effective and efficient recruiting techniques based on organizational needs.
Proactively source and connect with candidates for a variety of roles, including but not limited to: Field Sales Engineers/Field Service Engineers, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Product Management, Technicians, Assemblers and Customer Service.
Create and build partnerships locally and nationally (trade schools, universities, military bases).
Own the job postings and advertisement processes.
Review and screen applications and assess candidates for both technical qualifications and cultural fit.
Schedule interviews and support the behavior-based interview process.
Partner with HR to build talent strategy focusing on organizational impact.
Partner with hiring managers and HR Partners during the offer process, ensuring alignment on compensation, incentives, start dates, and pre-employment process.
Partner with HR Coordinator in preparation for new hire start date by gathering candidate pre-employment information.
Develops and leads training for managers on effective recruitment, interviewing and onboarding.
Collect, track, and analyze recruiting KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, conversion rates) to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Attends and participates in recruiting events and other talent-related initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Proven experience in high volume recruitment with manufacturing, operations and engineering or similar environments preferred.
Experience with national recruitment for remote, field and in-person positions.
Experience analyzing recruitment trends and report outs.
Experience owning the entire recruitment process from job posting creation to onboarding.
Ability to manage 15+ open roles across varying departments at a time.
Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Passion and alignment with our mission, vision and values.
Experience with Workday a plus.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with local and national travel required to career fairs, trade schools and universities 20% of the time.
Compensation Information:
This position has a starting salary range of $115,000 to $125,000 per year. Pay is determined by several factors, including a candidate’s experience, relevant skills, and qualifications
