Class A CDL Driver – Local Routes (Boise Area)
Please Note: This is a full-time, in-person role based in the Boise area. Employment with Intermountain Wood Products is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and maintaining a clean driving record.
Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Starting at $22.00-$25.00 per hour (DOE)
About the Role
At Intermountain Wood Products, we’re more than a distributor. As a privately owned company, we’ve been a trusted partner to builders, cabinet manufacturers, flooring retailers, and craftsmen across the Western U.S. and the Midwest, delivering quality materials and dependable service since 1934.
As a Class A CDL Driver, you’ll be a key part of our customer service and logistics team, making local, same-day deliveries to established customers throughout Boise and surrounding areas. This role blends professional driving, hands-on material handling, and warehouse support, while representing Intermountain Wood Products with a customer-first mindset.
What You’ll Do
- Load & Secure Materials: Load, secure, and transport hardwood materials using flatbed and curtain-side trucks and/or dry van trailers. Ensure all loads are properly secured and meet safety and DOT regulations.
- Deliver Locally: Make same-day local deliveries to repeat customers throughout Boise and surrounding areas. Coordinate with customers and internal teams to confirm delivery schedules, ensure timely pickups, and support smooth, efficient deliveries. Provide professional, courteous service during every customer interaction.
- Support Warehouse Operations: Assist with loading and unloading at delivery and pickup locations. Some warehouse and forklift duties may be required to support daily operations.
- Operate with Safety & Accountability: Maintain clean equipment, follow all company policies, and operate vehicles responsibly to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
- Licensing & Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Class A CDL with the ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Experience: Forklift and warehouse experience is preferred but not required. Prior experience in a lumber yard, hardwood, or woodworking environment is a plus. Customer service experience and the ability to learn delivery routes and product knowledge quickly are highly valued.
- Mindset: Safety-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a team-oriented, customer-first attitude.
- Compliance: Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening and meet all DOT and company compliance requirements.
