Job Description
You'll provide physical therapy services in a residential developmental care setting in Mount Vernon, Ohio, assessing patient mobility, gait, range of motion, and neurological status while developing individualized treatment plans.
You'll apply your physical therapy expertise to evaluate patients, develop individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, functional independence, and long-term outcomes.
Work Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, including ROM, gait analysis, functional assessments, and neurological testing.
- Develop, implement, reassess, and adjust individualized rehabilitation treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Document patient progress, reports, and records accurately and in alignment with clinical requirements.
- Communicate findings, progress, and recommendations to interdisciplinary care teams.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning while participating in continuing education, in-service training, and program development initiatives.
- Support training and mentorship for PT students, assistants, and therapy aides when needed.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Ohio Physical Therapist license required.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist required.
- Ability to work a full-time day shift schedule; additional hours may be required based on patient care needs.
- Ability to perform role-related physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting patients with mobility.
Preferred
- Clinical rehabilitation and functional assessment experience preferred.
