Tree Care Advisor / Estimator / Operations Supervisor
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Tree West is seeking an experienced Tree Care Advisor / Estimator / Operations Supervisor to join our growing team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, preparing estimates, supervising crews, and helping build one of Southwest Florida's premier tree care companies.
This is a hands-on leadership position with significant opportunity for growth. The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations Manager and gradually assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of our field operations, allowing our Operations Manager to focus more on business development and sales.
Responsibilities
- Meet with residential and commercial clients to evaluate trees and prepare professional estimates.
- Diagnose tree health issues and recommend proper pruning, preservation, removals, cabling, bracing, and plant health care.
- Prepare accurate proposals and work orders.
- Schedule and coordinate daily operations with office staff and field crews.
- Supervise multiple tree crews and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
- Perform quality control inspections before, during, and after projects.
- Train, mentor, and develop crew leaders and team members.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI A300 standards, ISA Best Management Practices, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with customers throughout each project.
- Monitor daily production, labor hours, equipment utilization, revenue, profitability, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist with storm response and emergency tree operations when necessary.
- Continuously improve safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist preferred. Candidates with significant tree care experience who are willing to obtain ISA Certified Arborist certification within 12 months of employment are encouraged to apply. The company will provide support for training, study materials, and examination fees.
- Minimum 5 years of professional tree care experience.
- Experience estimating residential and commercial tree work.
- Strong knowledge of proper pruning, tree risk assessment, removals, tree preservation, cabling, bracing, and plant health care.
- Strong leadership and crew management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
- Experience with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and basic computer systems.
- Ability to monitor and improve productivity, labor costs, profitability, and KPIs.
- Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
