Are you a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? The Jamestown Family Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our collaborative healthcare team. In this role, you'll provide exceptional patient care while working alongside physicians, ARNPs, PA-Cs, and other licensed healthcare providers in a patient-centered primary care setting.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
What You'll Do
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will:
Provide services consistent with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Occupational Analysis and skill sets.
Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, patient history (when appropriate), and chief complaints according to provider direction and clinic protocols.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records, including scanning, recording, and updating patient information.
Process provider orders, prescription refill requests, medication and procedure prior authorizations, and pre-certifications.
Record patient charges for electronic billing as needed.
Assist providers with patient education and follow-up care instructions.
Communicate laboratory and radiology results as directed by the provider.
Prepare patients for laboratory and radiology procedures.
Schedule diagnostic testing and specialty referrals.
Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, perform procedures including:
EKGs
Ear lavages
CLIA-waived laboratory testing
Venipuncture
Wound dressings
Administer IM, Sub-Q, nasal medications, and immunizations as ordered.
Recognize and appropriately respond to urgent or emergent situations following clinic protocols.
Perform basic patient triage according to office protocols.
Maintain exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with providers, staff, leadership, and external agencies.
Participate in staff and clinic meetings.
Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and patient confidentiality.
Follow all JST and JFHC policies and procedures, including safety standards, HIPAA requirements, and the Occupational Exposure Control Plan.
Document work processes as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a 1-2 year (4-6 quarter) accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assisting Program or LPN Program preferred.
Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential.
Current Basic First Aid/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
Knowledge of:
Medication administration procedures
CPT and ICD-10 coding
Medical terminology
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using EPIC electronic health records.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
American Indian/Alaska Native hiring preference applies.
Physical Requirements
Ability to hear adequately for stethoscope and telephone use.
Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, twist, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Must be available to work any shift, including weekends or holidays, if operational needs require.
