The Director, Content Development & Deployment plays a critical role in scaling how Jazz creates, reviews, and delivers high-quality, compliant content to support customer engagement across Jazz. This role leads teams responsible for content infrastructure, digital and web operations, MLR processes, and global content production, ensuring content is developed, approved, and deployed efficiently and consistently across channels. It goes beyond execution to shape how Jazz delivers timely, relevant, and compliant content experiences, enabling faster activation, improved engagement, and greater impact for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and the business.

A global team of individuals focused on Medical, Legal Regulatory (MLR) Operations, responsible for managing the end-to-end medical, legal, and regulatory review process for content and materials, enabling compliant, on-time content readiness for deployment across channels
A global team of individuals focused on Content Factory, responsible for producing, adapting, localizing, and deploying approved content and assets across personal and non-personal channels

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Leadership, Strategy and Vision
Define and govern a scalable, centralized content operating model (“Content Factory”), including intake, prioritization, localization/adaptation, and quality standards to enable consistent delivery across brands and markets
Lead and develop Team Leads, reinforcing clear decision rights, accountability, and performance expectations. This includes:
Overseeing the MLR Ops team that leads end-to-end MLR review operations across promotional and non-promotional materials, maintaining governance standards, audit readiness, and reporting for MLR activity across brands, channels, and markets to enable compliant, scalable content distribution
Overseeing the Content Factory team that owns the centralized content operations model, establishing modular content standards enabling reuse, personalization, and faster omnichannel execution while maintaining DAM/CMS hygiene and governance across brands and markets
Holding the Global Capability Owners accountable for the performance and outcomes of the Content Infrastructure & MLR Global Capability including the end-to-end content lifecycle, from digital asset management and medical content creation to AI-enabled regulatory review, enabling compliant, scalable content distribution across the organization
Holding the Global Capability Owners accountable for the performance and outcomes of the Digital & Web Operations Global Capability ensuring integration with CRM, analytics, attribution, and consent/preference management capabilities
Establish and govern a database of approved scientific and promotional claims to enable consistent, compliant reuse across marketing, medical, and field materials
Oversee delivery of content aligned to brand standards, style guidelines, foundational assets, and overarching brand architecture
Establish and maintain modular content standards that enable reuse, reduce rework, and increase speed-to-market while sustaining quality and consistency
Own DAM/CMS governance and stewardship strategy (taxonomy, metadata, lifecycle management) to strengthen findability, compliance readiness, and reuse across the enterprise asset library
Provide executive oversight of end-to-end MLR operations, including governance standards, audit readiness, and cycle-time improvement. (Promomats and Medcomms)
Manage budget and resource allocation, making investment decisions across the team to maximize impact and performance outcomes
Set the team vision and strategy, aligned to Customer Orchestration priorities and Jazz objectives, while staying ahead of industry trends and emerging best practices
Define and govern how Content Development & Deployment capabilities mature over time, balancing near-term execution with long-term standardization, reuse, and scale
Manage strategic vendor partners with clear accountability for quality, delivery, and outcomes
Foster a high performance-driven culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement across the team
Cross-Functional & Regional Alignment
Partner closely with the Activation Leads to ensure user needs, readiness, enablement, and adoption considerations are embedded in Content Development & Deployment team strategy and prioritization
Align franchise, functional, and regional stakeholders including senior leadership on content development and deployment priorities, balancing local needs with global standards and scalable ways of working
Represent the Content Development & Deployment team in cross-functional forums to ensure clear decision rights and governance with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, and Technology partners to reduce handoffs and ensure compliant content readiness for deployment
Collaborate with brand agencies of record (AOR) that may execute de novo content, ensuring clear handoffs to Content Development and Deployment team for modularization, adaptation and reuse across channels
Create transparency through operating cadences and performance visibility (e.g., SLAs, cycle time, quality, reuse, compliance) to guide continuous improvement and investment decisions
Identify organizational training needs and partner with Learning & Development to design and deliver targeted capability-building programs that enable effective execution
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Skills
Deep understanding of medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) operating models, including governance, audit readiness, performance management, and continuous cycle-time improvement embedded within modern content operating models
Strong understanding of enterprise DAM and CMS ecosystems, including taxonomy, metadata, lifecycle governance, and reuse standards that enable scalable, compliant content production and distribution across brands and regions
Strong command of modular and reusable content frameworks that accelerate speed-to-market, reduce duplication, and enable consistent omnichannel execution while maintaining quality and regulatory integrity
Ability to translate brand and franchise priorities into scalable content capabilities by partnering across orchestration, activation, and platform teams, ensuring content is designed for downstream activation, reuse, and enterprise value
Experience working within Agile product development teams and product operating models
Experience with AI, automation, or agentic workflows in marketing or content operations
Experience leading and developing a high-performing team, including resource planning, performance management, and talent development to support evolving business needs

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Digital, healthcare, technology, or a related field
10+ years of experience in content operations, content production, digital asset management, modular content, or regulated content governance in life sciences/pharma (or similarly regulated industry)
2+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
6-8 years of experience leading people, including managing and developing high-performing teams and driving accountability across functions
Preferred / Additional Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred
Experience working in the capability operating model
Experience partnering with enterprise platform teams or global capability teams supporting digital and operational capabilities
Experience working in rare disease or specialty brands, with strong understanding of unique stakeholder dynamics
Experience leading and developing distributed, matrixed teams including onshore/offshore models, with strong ability to align resources, drive accountability and ensure consistent delivery standards
Working Requirements:
20% to 30% travel will be required

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $196,800.00 - $295,200.00
Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
