Position: Collateral and Member Records Team Lead
Department: Member Records
Reports to: Collateral & Records Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt Grade: 10
SUMMARY
Lead and coach member records team members and title team members to ensure they are performing their daily function in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. Performs all necessary functions of the Member Records, loan payoff processing, and title release activities. Actively promote quality service to CU membership. Responds to questions, concerns, and complaints within scopt of authority. Assists with quality assurance, monitoring, evaluating, and training of staff.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs supervisory duties in accordance with the credit union's policies and procedures and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Responsibilities include participating in the recruitment, interview, selection, and onboarding of employees; providing training and development; planning, assigning, and overseeing work; evaluating performance; coaching and counseling employees; administering recognition and corrective actions as appropriate; responding to employee concerns and supporting issue resolution; and supporting employment actions such as promotion, transfer, demotion, or separation in accordance with established policies and legal requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures performance of all duties related to the various functions of the department are completed accurately and timely, and under the guidelines of all pertinent company policy, laws
- Responsible for ensuring that quality of service standards are met by monitoring activities
- Ensures problems or complaints are resolved quickly
- Authorizes exceptions to policy or procedures when circumstances warrant, and deviation is justified within scope of authority
- Prepare and update department procedures.
- Responsible for management reporting around key production indicators and key performance indicators
- Monitors daily operations related to title reports, loan payoff processing, and title release activities
- Serves as the Subject matter expert for member records, loan payoff, title release projects/initiatives
- Serves as backup to the junior member records team
- Serves as backup for the Managers.
- Serves as the liaison for other business units regarding member records inquiries
- Monitor the department reports to ensure all reports are completed and exceptions get resolved in a timely manner
- Responsible for safeguarding the drilled safe box inventory and the auction of said inventory when applicable
- Overseas the equipment and supplies inventory
- Stays abreast of industry changes that affect the outside vendor software systems that are utilized and necessary for the completion of daily work
- Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)

Education:
- A high school diploma or GED required.
Experience and Other Requirements:
- 1-3 years of Financial Industry preferred
- 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred
- 1-2 years Collateral Management experience preferred.
- Proven ability to process titles and UCC filings in each state that KFCU does loans with minimal assistance.
- Proven ability to solve problems
- Great accuracy and attention to detail required.

Communicates information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and listens attentively to understand questions or concerns. Computer Skills:
- Proficient in the use of computers and standard office technology, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
