Summary
The Director of Digital Marketing is a key position responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with the college's brand and marketing objectives. They will oversee managing social media strategy, digital advertising campaigns, website updates and changes and website development and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing and knowledge of marketing trends and best practices in the digital space. They should have excellent project management skills, the ability to produce engaging marketing content, and be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The Director of Digital Marketing will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Marketing.
Essential Responsibilities
Social Media:
- Direct, edit, and produce videography projects on campus, including television commercials, videos for website/social media, and oversee drone operations.
Digital Advertising:
- Develop and implement digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, including social media and search engines.
- Monitor and analyze digital advertising metrics to inform and improve campaign performance.
- Collaborate with the AVP of Marketing and Communication to align content and strategy with ongoing digital campaigns and generate leads for customer acquisition.
- Develop integrated marketing strategies that will result in generating leads for customer acquisition.
- Manage and oversee digital marketing campaigns, including copy creation, campaign implementation campaign budgets, performance review, and basic optimizations.
Website Management:
- Oversee the development, design, and maintenance of the College's website to ensure it aligns with branding objectives and is optimized for user experience.
- Collaborate with the AVP of Marketing and Communications to keep web content accurate and up to date to increase the number of inquiries and applicants.
- Develop and manage SEO strategy by improving and measuring online content to ensure Keuka
- College programs rank on Search Engine Marketing (SEM); track SEO and Google Analytics data to make strategic recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- Experience in digital marketing, preferably in higher education.
- Strong writing skills and ability to create compelling content.
- Knowledge of marketing trends and best practices in the digital space
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor and optimize campaign performance.
- Familiarity with SEO and Google Analytics
- Experience with community engagement initiatives and social media management.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Slate Event Portals is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Some evening and weekend hours are required.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
