What You Will Do
- Review and approve subdivision and land development plans in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC).
- Design and manage public works projects (roadways, stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, and recreational facilities).
- Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed engineering reports and recommendations for municipal governing bodies.
- Coordinate with developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance, quality, and timely completion.
- Provide technical guidance on zoning, environmental impact, and stormwater management matters.
- Prepare bid documents, cost estimates, and construction specifications for municipal infrastructure projects.
- Assist municipalities with grant applications, funding strategies, and long-range capital improvement planning.
- Present findings and recommendations to municipal officials and the public.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the team.
- Stay current with evolving codes, standards, and best practices in municipal engineering.
What you Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of relevant civil/site design experience
- 3+ years of experience in municipal engineering, including plan reviews and infrastructure design
- EIT required; PE license preferred
- Strong working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), DEP regulations, and other applicable state and federal standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
