Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making across our organization. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Design and develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform data analysis utilizing SQL queries, Excel data analysis techniques, R programming, Python scripting, and ETL processes to extract insights from complex datasets stored in SQL databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Conduct database design activities including data model design and query management to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance within Agile environments.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Talend, or other scripting languages to streamline data processing tasks.
- Collaborate on linked data projects to integrate disparate datasets for comprehensive analytics solutions.
- Assist in dashboard development by creating interactive visualizations that communicate key metrics effectively to stakeholders.
- Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement through data insights and recommend scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
- Maintain documentation of technical specifications, process flows using Visio or similar tools, and ensure compliance with best practices in data governance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst with a strong understanding of business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle; strong query management skills are essential.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend or equivalent tools; familiarity with database design principles is highly desirable.
- Technical proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), enabling advanced data analysis and automation tasks.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile practices; ability to analyze software development lifecycle processes effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data visualization, dashboard development, requirements analysis, and reporting tools.
- Experience working with linked data concepts for integrating multiple datasets into cohesive analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into clear business insights; ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
