Position Summary
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of transformative behavior change programs. In this role, you will bridge the gap between clinical assessment and daily application by working directly with teachers, youth care specialists, therapists, and families. From conducting functional analyses to providing hands-on cottage and classroom support, you will be a vital link in helping children and adolescents achieve meaningful progress. This is a salaried exempt position reporting to the CPO of Education or their designee.
Minimum Requirements
- All employees must be at least 21 years of age.
- Education: A Master’s degree in a human service field is required.
- Certification: Must be credentialed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Licensure: A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
- Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written) to conduct official business.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong customer service focus combined with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- The analytical ability necessary to manage complex clinical details and prepare technical reports.
- Independent judgment to plan and prioritize a diversified workload with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and professional email applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and review comprehensive Behavior Improvement Plans (BIP) and conduct behavioral assessments, including functional analyses.
- Provide direct individual behavior therapy sessions and implement specific behavioral protocols.
- Facilitate training for staff on the concepts and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and provide ongoing feedback regarding behavior management.
- Collect and analyze clinical data on a monthly basis to determine the efficacy of programming and necessary revisions.
- Complete all required clinical documentation, including monthly graphs, quarterly reviews, annual reviews, and updated assessments.
- Conduct direct observations of program implementation to ensure clinical integrity and provide real-time feedback to the treatment team.
- Lead training sessions for family members and school personnel to foster consistency and generalize skills across all environments.
- Maintain a professional conduct that displays profound respect for all colleagues and stakeholders.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The BCBA role is a safety-sensitive position. You must be able to maintain appropriate alertness and respond to changing conditions.
- Physical Demands: Frequent movement throughout the facility, including standing and walking for extended periods. The ability to reach, climb, balance, bend, kneel, or crawl is required.
- Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Emotional and Cognitive Demands: Ability to maintain professional boundaries, use sound judgment under pressure, and de-escalate crisis situations as trained. Successful completion of crisis prevention and safety hold training is a condition of employment.
- Environment: The work environment is typically a residential or educational facility with a moderate noise level and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
