- Anthony House is a residential facility that serves vulnerable populations including single females and substance misusing pregnant or postpartum women who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives. The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering interventions to support mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to understand client needs and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervising therapists.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in case conferences, supervision, and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during emergency situations.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy and integrate new knowledge into practice.
- Graduation from a licensed and approved college or university holding a Master’s degree in a Human Services field required
Required Experience:
- Minimum of two years' experience in the substance abuse field/Mental Health field required
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
