SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service as the district's first line of support, to all prospective, new, or returning families, and community members to the district. The incumbent will also provide key levels of assistance to the Enrollment, Community Engagement, and Communication/Marketing departments to proactively develop, support, deliver, and achieve the district's goals and objectives each year.

ENROLLMENT DUTIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for district office visitors and incoming calls, ensuring a professional and welcoming front lobby experience.
- Responsible for ongoing recruitment and enrollment efforts of district programs.
- Guide prospective, new, and returning families through the enrollment process with clear, supportive communication.
- Support the district registrar which includes working with the online registration system and coordination with the building staff and community.
- Support centralized enrollment and School of Choice processes, both in person and online
- Verify residency, documentation, and compliance requirements while maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records.
- Assist families in troubleshooting registration barriers and navigating district systems.
- Maintain proficiency in district enrollment procedures, policies, and systems.
- Conduct post-enrollment surveys and exit interviews to support continuous improvement.
- Audit and maintain accurate student and family contact information within the Student Information System (SIS).
- Support at-risk student identification efforts such as Education Benefits Form follow up.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Communications
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and department documentation.
- Support departmental reporting, data tracking, and strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support enrollment, communications, and community engagement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication , education administration, or a related field preferred OR
- Minimum of five years of experience in enrollment, marketing or administrative support in an educational setting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public status preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and proofreading.
- Ability to clearly explain processes and procedures to diverse audiences.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred but not required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency with student information systems and online registration platforms.
- Experience with database systems and data management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work across both Windows and Mac operating systems.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to apply the concepts of basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in variable situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands are consistent with district office operations and may include standing, walking, use of hands for technology and documentation, lifting up to 35 pounds, travel between buildings, and occasional extended work hours.
The schedule may also include hours outside of the regular workday to accommodate special events and peak enrollment, particularly from July through September.

TERMS:
The contract, salary and other employment conditions are to be determined by the current collective bargaining agreement between the Lincoln Consolidated Schools and the Lincoln Education Associates Organization (LEAO).
