Position Overview

The Senior Payroll Specialist will work with the Accounting and HR Teams to ensure overall compliance with departments, company, state, and federal filings. The ideal candidate is familiar with accounting and payroll systems and has a thorough understanding of state and federal programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Weekly EFTPS payments and reconciling each account
• Quarterly 941s reconciling each quarter
• 401(k) weekly payments/qtrly reconciling
• Reconciling the ESPP account
• Responsible for the employee stock program
• Responsible for overseeing the payroll cycle to ensure accuracy, compliance, a timely processing
• Responsible for the payroll time app/adding new hires and terminations
• Ensure payroll accurately posts

• End of year W2s reconciliation
• 5500 filings, audit support

• Assist in implementing new workflows, and ensuring sox compliance is met
• Responsible for reconciling medical benefits
• Other duties as assigned in accounting and HR/PR as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent training completed
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Must be positive, friendly and professional.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
• Must demonstrate professional communication in reaching out to employees and managers for needed documents.
• Willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as they arise.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize various tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
• Able to perform duties independently.
• Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
• Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• This is a position that will require oversight of payroll and other HR related accounting duties.

Working Conditions

• Work will be performed in hybrid office/home setting- must be in Austin area.
• Full time. May require availability for nighttime and weekend hours as needed.
• Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Requires periodic participation and attendance at company events and meetings.
