The Opportunity
Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Planned Maintenance Technician (Heavy Equipment Mechanic) to join our Service team in Odessa, Texas. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Planned Maintenance Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
- Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
- Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs
- Completing work order forms
- Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
- Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment
- Following established warranty processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- 1 to 2 years of heavy equipment repair experience in a related industry, such as heavy machinery or material handling equipment
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
