- The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision and day-to-day leadership for assigned crisis response staff while also offering direct support to clients experiencing behavioral health crises. This position includes active participation in crisis operations, including back-up support for nights, weekends, and holidays and ongoing clinical consultation to on-call staff when guidance or escalation is needed. The Clinical Supervisor helps strengthen and grow crisis services through staff development, quality oversight, and continuous program improvement.
- Provide clinical supervision per program guidelines and licensure requirements.
- Support staff success by monitoring caseloads, reviewing workflow needs, and providing training, coaching, and consultation that promote quality care and sustainable productivity.
- Assist in establishing professional development/education plans with assigned staff and ensure implementation.
- Work in partnership with the Director of Crisis Services, who provides leadership support and leads external referral development for the program.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of crisis programs in partnership with agency leadership and Human Resources.
- Provide direct clinical support to clients, including office and community-based intervention, assessment, and care coordination based on program guidelines and client need.
- Complete Initial Diagnostic Interviews and assessments based on program needs.
- Participate in a shared back-up rotation with the Director of Crisis Services for nights, weekends, and holidays, and provide timely clinical consultation, problem-solving, and support to on-call staff during urgent situations and escalations.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of area resources to support client needs.
- Support program growth and service excellence through strong client outcomes, client satisfaction, staff development, and stakeholder feedback.
- Partner with agency leadership and operational teams (e.g., Marketing) to support program effectiveness, compliance, and long-term sustainability.
- Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in local, regional, and statewide staff meetings for the purpose of supervision, team building, and program planning.
- Maintain accurate, written clinical records of services provided per established agency, COA, HIPAA, and CCBHC standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and real-time support to on-call crisis response staff, including assistance with assessment, decision-making, and coordination of care when needed.
- Provide clinical and operational support to the daytime crisis team when needed to help maintain responsive, high-quality care.
- Help strengthen and grow crisis services by improving workflows, supporting staff readiness, and coordinating effective internal processes for timely client access.
- Ensure crisis response services and documentation align with contract requirements, agency standards, and best-practice guidance.
- Strong clinical assessment, intervention, and supervision skills, with the ability to support staff serving individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to navigate complex systems of care and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, delegate appropriately, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive services and effectively work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Proficiency with electronic health records, clinical documentation systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other related technology, or the ability to learn.

- Master’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college required.
- Current Nebraska licensure as a LIMHP or LICSW in good standing required.
- LADC is required for Substance Use Program positions and preferred for all positions.
- Demonstrated experience in de-escalation and supporting clients in a mental health crisis.
- Two or more years of behavioral health experience
- Two or more years of leadership or supervisory experience in clinical training, staff development, and program support preferred.
- Knowledge of crisis program development, clinical operations, program budgets, and collaborative service delivery within behavioral health systems.
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license, proof of liability insurance, and ability to drive for agency business.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Work is primarily performed in office, community-based, and client home settings, with some services provided through telehealth or other virtual platforms.
- Reliable transportation (work-related travel between sites as needed).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client and program needs, including participation in a shared back-up rotation with the Director of Crisis Services for nights, weekends, and holidays and availability to support crisis staff during urgent situations.
- Occasional lifting of office items no more than 25 pounds.
