We are looking for 2nd shift Production Operaters fors die cast machine & auxiliary equipment to produce high quality castings. Operator must be able to achieve daily / shift production targets as defined by the hourly production boards, as well as providing quality control and quality assurance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate and adjust die cast machines and all related auxiliary equipment to meet production and quality requirements.
- Perform machine start‑up procedures, ensuring proper warm‑up, lubrication, and verification of process parameters.
- Read, understand, and follow all operator instructions, set‑up sheets, and standardized work documents.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area, ensuring all guarding, interlocks, and safety devices are installed, functional, and consistently used.
- Verify that all safety systems are operational at the start of each shift and throughout production.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proper application of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Understand and follow all PPE requirements for the assigned work area.
- Perform visual inspections and use gauges or precision measuring devices to verify part quality.
- Record accurate production counts, scrap counts, downtime, and operation numbers in required systems or paperwork.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Heavy Manufacturing Environment. MKC houses different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to noisy. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to regularly walk throughout all the manufacturing facilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in comprehensive English.
- Basic mathematical skills; such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to understand fractions, along with a working knowledge of Metric to English dimensional conversions.
- Demonstrated ability to understand machine controls and functions. This would include shot trace units, nitrogen, velocity, pressure profiles, and switch over criteria.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
JOB SKILLS
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to develop and implement cost savings ideas.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot machines.
- Automotive background and/or knowledge of ISO quality systems preferred.
- Die Cast or Injection Mold experience a plus
