QA Automation Tester

Role Overview
The agency seeks a hands‑on QA Automation Tester to ensure new and existing systems meet functional requirements and service qualities (performance, scalability, security, maintainability). The tester will design, implement, and maintain automated and manual testing strategies across UI, API, backend, and hardware components in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for large‑scale distributed systems and enterprise applications.
- Create and execute automated test cases using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript.
- Maintain UI, backend, API, and hardware test automation libraries.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and system teams to define acceptance criteria and testing strategies.
- Perform regression, performance, accessibility (ADA/508c), cross‑browser, and mobile compatibility testing.
- Document test plans, test cases, and results; track defects in Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts).
- Support integration testing of legacy and new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices in Agile delivery.
- Provide clear communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years with Azure DevOps suite (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts).
- 5+ years in automated testing with UFT and VBScript (or other programming languages).
- 5+ years in automated testing frameworks, manual testing, and QA methodologies.
- 5+ years working in Agile methodologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining UI, backend, API, and hardware test automation.
- Participation in at least two large‑scale Agile software development projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Web application, distributed system, performance, regression, database, mobile, security, accessibility, and web service testing.
- .NET, SharePoint, Salesforce (preferred).
- Service‑oriented architectures, data modeling, and application design.
- Experience with enterprise system integration testing and DevOps CI/CD environments.
- Familiarity with test‑driven development, design patterns, and object‑oriented principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with QA functional test suites (UFT).
- Working knowledge of C#, WCF, jQuery, XML, JSON, WebApi, SOAP, JavaScript.
- Experience with SOAPUI or similar tools for web service testing.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft SharePoint, .NET Framework, Mulesoft.
- Knowledge of virtualized hosting environments.
- SQL proficiency.
