Job Overview
The Industrial Planning Analyst III will be responsible for planning and optimizing aerospace manufacturing and production processes, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining alignment with project timelines. This role involves analyzing workflow, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance production planning, supply chain coordination, and operational efficiency.
The Industrial Planning Analyst III reports directly to the Planning Manager with a “dottedline” to internal production operations management.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production plans and schedules to align with production requirements and business objectives.
- Analyze workflow, capacity, and resource allocation to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other planning methodologies to enhance operational processes.
- Collaborate with design, production, procurement, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure efficient production planning and execution.
- Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to prevent production bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery of aerospace assemblies & kits.
- Coordinate with Logistics on material flow to reduce waste and improve cost effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production planning and coordination.
- Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to align production plans with material availability and procurement strategies.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, scheduling adherence, and inventory strategy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and operational agility.
- Assist in troubleshooting scheduling conflicts and resource constraints to maintain smooth production operations.
Job Qualifications
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial planning or production planning role, preferably in the aerospace sector.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling techniques, and resource optimization.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production simulation tools, and data analysis software.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and FAA regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with capacity planning, lead time optimization, and material requirements planning (MRP).
Additional Information
Occasional travel may be required to visit supplier sites and attend industry events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
