Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable HVAC Instructor to inspire and educate the next generation of skilled technicians. In this role, you will deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems, ensuring students gain both theoretical understanding and practical expertise.

Duties

• Conduct classroom training sessions that incorporate hands-on demonstrations, technical skills instruction, and real-world applications.
• Assess student progress through evaluations, practical assessments, and project-based learning to ensure mastery of core competencies.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to OSHA standards and promoting safety protocols during all instructional activities.
• Collaborate with industry partners to keep curriculum current with industry standards such as HVAC codes,MRO (maintenance, repair & operations), and electrical experience.
• Support diverse student populations by applying adult education principles and working with students from various cultural backgrounds.

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical wiring, plumbing, hydraulics, welding, automotive repair, and aircraft maintenance.
• Experience with course design and curriculum development tailored for post-secondary education settings.
• Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies for online instruction and classroom management.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Blackboard platform, OSHA safety standards, and MRO practices.
• Excellent teaching skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to students at different learning levels.
• Hands-on experience working in manufacturing or construction environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds while fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of full-time work experience in the heating air conditioning industry a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience
• Pass Drug Screening
• Pass Background Screening
• Must be a team player, work with employer partners and other training organizations
• Available to teach evenings Monday through Thursday (4:30pm to 9:30pm)
• Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not mandatory

Pay: $32.27 per hour
