The role requires strong system engineering expertise to define system architecture, manage complex requirements, and lead cross-functional project development team.Essential Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain system architecture for complex electronic and mechatronic products
- Lead system requirements engineering, including decomposition, allocation, and traceability
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into technical system specifications
- Coordinate technical development between software, hardware, mechanical, and validation teams
- Lead system design reviews and technical risk assessments
- Support system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Identify and manage technical risks and system-level issues during development
- Interface with customers on technical topics, architecture discussions, and requirement clarification
- Contribute to engineering best practices and process improvements
- Support project planning activities by contributing to technical effort estimation and resource planning
- Monitor system development progress to help ensure technical deliverables are achieved within program timing and budget targets
- Identify technical risks early and work with the project team to develop mitigation plans that protect project schedule and cost objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar field
- 5+ years of experience in automotive electronics or embedded system development
- Proven experience in system architecture and requirements engineering
- Strong understanding of mechatronic systems
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments
- Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS)
- Familiarity with issue tracking and issue resolution tools and methodologies (Jira, 8D, 5-Why…)
- Experience working with automotive OEM customers
Travel:
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed (~10%).
