The MISA IT team is currently seeking a Technical Applications Assistant Manager in our New York, NY office.
We are establishing an enterprise Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) to unify and scale automation streams across our operations in Americas. The Technical Applications Assistant Manager will lead the platform, combining AI agents, RPA, and enterprise systems to deliver sustainable, secure, and scalable automation. This role is positioned as a core technical leader within the CoE and a potential future successor to broader CoE leadership responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Agentic Automation (UiPath Maestro) integrated with UiPath RPA and enterprise systems
- Establish and enforce engineering standards for reusable components, exception handling, logging, deployment, and monitoring
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, troubleshooting, and refactoring support
- Partner with the CoE Lead on platform operations, release management, and environment strategy
- Define guardrails for agentic automation, including human-in-the-loop, escalation paths, and decision boundaries
- Collaborate with security, ERP, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance, auditability, and access control
- Promote reuse and standardization across divisions and locations
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Effective collaboration and communication skills to work closely with development, operations, and business teams. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to lead and communicate effectively across IT and business teams. Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP WinGUI) and operations such as order management, finance, or logistics. Experience designing governance for automation or AI platforms. Demonstrate deep understanding of Stored Procedures and Microsoft SQL Server technologies including SSIS and SSRS to support data integration, reporting, and automation solutions.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field preferred
- 6+ years of experience in automation, software engineering, or solution architecture, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong computer science fundamentals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Required to sit for long periods of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Usual office working conditions
- Occasional travel for business needs
Req Benefits:
Hourly rate or annual base salary determined by experience and work location.
Non-exempt roles are required to receive time-and-one-half overtime for time worked in excess of 40 hours in a calendar week. Any time worked between 35 hours and less than 40 hours in a work week will be compensated at straight time (the current hourly rate) unless otherwise required by applicable law.
All positions qualify for our Incentive Compensation Plan.
