Marymount University is seeking an Associate Director for Graduate Admissions to recruit and enroll incoming graduate students in programs on campus or online as part of the overall admission strategic plan. The Associate Director will effectively represent the University in the graduate student market collaborating with select graduate program faculty at class visits, fairs, conferences, information sessions, webinars, and off-site outreach efforts. The associate Director manages the direct recruitment and enrollment of candidates for graduate programs. Critical components of this position are proactive outreach to potential students to help grow prospects for enrollment in assigned programs and providing strong support and direction to prospective students from inquiry through enrollment.
The associate director is accountable for the recruitment of multiple programs and collaborates with the graduate enrollment team to ensure that the target enrollments for the assigned programs are achieved.
Directly assists the other associate director for graduate admissions and AVP for graduate enrollment in managing the recruitment process and the delivery of information sessions, presentations, and customized promotional events on-campus and off-campus across all graduate and doctoral programs.
Counsels prospective applicants regarding admission requirements, academic eligibility, program options, residency requirements, and alternative educational choices, where appropriate.
Conducts informational interviews, meetings or programs designed to promote admission or higher education.
Reviews and enforces academic program requirements and enrollment restrictions for all University schools and colleges.
Conducts information session presentations as well as assists in developing off-campus recruiting strategies for domestic school/college fairs and events.
Represents the graduate enrollment office externally and within the assigned colleges, works closely with graduate program directors, and advisors, to devise new and innovative tactics to generate and convert quality leads into enrolled students.
Ability to travel and work occasional evening and weekend hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, enrollment management, or higher education student services.
Demonstrated experience managing recruitment initiatives, counseling prospective students, and interpreting enrollment data to inform decision-making.
Experience using a student information system and CRM, preferably Slate.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of experience in graduate admissions or graduate enrollment management.
Experience supervising professional staff, student workers, or graduate assistants.
Experience collaborating with faculty and academic leadership to support enrollment goals.
Experience developing and executing enrollment communication and yield strategies.
Experience with application review, holistic admissions practices, and graduate recruitment events
Please note that this role is hybrid eligible and based in Arlington, VA. Position will be open until filled.
