We are looking for someone who is passionate about 3D printing and other makerspace technologies (CNC, laser cutters, vacuum formers, scanners, etc.) to join our Education or Enterprise teams. You will be managing your own key accounts and growing the category for MatterHackers. We have an active existing portfolio, and would be looking to you to expand and develop this fast-growing part of our business.
5-10 years of 3D printing, professional sales, education, or makerspace experience required for senior positions. We are open to those coming from the classroom, shop floor, or makerspace if you are willing to share your passion with our customers, or people with experience in education technology sales. What You Will Be Doing
- Working with current Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Sales Manager, and Account Managers to develop and grow major education account pipeline and close business. This role will begin with a hot list of current, active customers, then expand to new local, regional, and national prospects as we grow. We’ve got a plan and in-demand products and services - we just need a phone and email monster to activate.
- Tracking and reporting initiatives through HubSpot and HelpScout and communicating achieved benchmarks weekly.
- Responsible for outbound efforts and developing key prospects for large education and enterprise accounts. Creating custom packages and product offerings for potential customers, managing the post-sale support structure, and tracking completed transactions in HubSpot.
- Coordinating with all departments to ensure processes are effective, efficient, and communicated properly.
- Assisting and being trained by a generous and supportive team of Account Managers and Sales Associates, mentored by inspiring Sales Managers, and guided and appreciated daily by a creative and fun Vice President of Strategic Partnerships who writes her own job posts...because she cares.
What You Need for this Position
- College Degree
- At least 5-10 years 3D printing, outbound sales, or education technology experience
- Experience with HubSpot or other CRM for reporting and optimizing productivity.
- Relationships and previous experience in working with or selling to education and education coops or enterprise accounts.
- Organization skills
- Passion for helping educators and businesses
- A desire to be part of an entrepreneurial environment where flexibility and autonomy are required to thrive
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking (your cover letter is your best way to grab our attention!)
- Experience with Google docs and Gmail
- High degree of autonomy -- we empower you to make decisions and improve the company every day
