Maxima Therapy is looking for creative and committed Physical Therapist Assistants to join our transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child development specialists, and assistants. The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages from birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients’ homes and/or daycares. We offer competitive rates of up to $70 per hour*, drive time, mileage and toys reimbursement. Schedule:

• We use proprietary software and AI for therapist-client matching
• Therapists have autonomy to select clients
• Flexibility in scheduling: part-time or full-time opportunities
• Workload range: 10 to 40 hours per week
• Client selection can occur at therapists' convenience

Duties:

• 1:1 treatment in clients’ homes or daycare settings
• Provide parent education and support
• Collaborate with team members
• Take/submit progress notes as required

Minimum Requirements:

• California PTA license
• Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
• Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test
• Strong work ethic, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
• Previous pediatric treatment experience preferred
• Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
• Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
• Sudden and quick movements may be required
• Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting,
• Reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes

  Pay Rate: The professional rate for this position is up to $70/hr for time spent in sessions providing therapy services directly to the consumer; drive time and mileage reimbursement will be compensated at the applicable minimum wage and mileage reimbursement rate. The actual wage rate offered will vary based on several key factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's skill set, proficiency in relevant languages, years of professional experience, and the geographical location of the candidate.
