Summary: Operates 27-foot box truck to pick up recyclables at customer locations. Responsible for correct segregation, labeling and packaging of materials when assigned. May assist with maintenance of equipment. When not driving, will perform warehouse duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Up holds a polite and courteous demeanor when working with customers and fellow employees.
- Safely drives 27 foot straight truck or semi
- Insists on and maintains a clean, orderly, and professional work area.
- Supports and contributes to the maintenance of ISO Quality Management System and ISO Environmental Management System and related goals and objectives.
- Uses assigned safety equipment and follows all safety rules.
- Determines acceptable materials for recycling based on company procedures.
- As needed, evaluates and enters data into the company database for lots assigned.
- Assist in the proper training of all operators.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with the supervisor regarding capacity and priority.
- Shares responsibility for the accuracy of production documentation reported to scheduling.
- If assigned, assists in the preventive and corrective maintenance for department equipment.
- Tracks vehicle maintenance and identifies unsafe conditions.
- Lends assistance to assure the success of our sales network, including open and accurate communications with all operations staff, or supervisors.
- Perform warehouse duties as assigned when not driving.
