A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates well, builds strong relationships, and enjoys delivering high-quality projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage meaningful commercial work while working alongside an experienced leadership team that values collaboration, accountability, and practical decision-making.
Unlike many large firms, our project managers aren’t overloaded with countless jobs. We believe in assigning manageable workloads so projects receive the attention they deserve and our clients receive exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Lead owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor coordination.
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
- Work closely with field superintendents to maintain schedule, quality, and safety.
- Conduct OAC meetings and provide regular project reporting.
- Negotiate subcontractor scopes and resolve project challenges proactively.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Build long-term relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Proven success managing multi-million-dollar commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project financial management.
- Experience leading projects independently from preconstruction through closeout.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
