Position: Mid-Plains Community College is seeking a hard-working, organized, and student-centered professional to serve on our Learning Commons Team, assisting students and colleagues in supporting academic success. This position will collaborate to identify high-risk students and proactively offer support services, including time management, test taking, and more. The position will also coordinate events for the McCook Learning Commons, serve as Learning Commons athletic liaison for student athletes, and work with colleagues to support a selected special population of students. This dual role is responsible for overseeing all the aspects of recruiting and retaining a successful women’s softball team. Successful applicants should possess high quality coaching techniques including demonstrate excellent sportsmanship, commitment to success in the classroom, and the ability to interact with the community in positive ways. This position is split with 70% focused on Success Coach and 30% focused on coaching.

Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county service area in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska. Additionally, there are community campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the area. Bachelor’s degree required. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful
