How you'll make an impact:
MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Warehouse Assistant II who consider themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As Warehouse Assistant II in the Shipping Department, you will be responsible for providing warehouse services through safe, efficient, cost effective and accurate handling of materials using manual labor and standard power equipment. Under minimal supervision executes tasks pertaining to inbound and outbound shipping activities. Tasks range from product tracking, inventory control, and problem solving.

What will you do in this role?
- Executes tasks in ERP system for finished goods movements.
- Monitors all dock door activity.
- Manual labor to include loading/unloading trucks either by forklift or by hand as necessary.
- Maintains inventory records accordingly.
- Identifies and distributes priority loads to production floor.
- Manages shipping of customer orders through the utilization of systems/procedures.
- Reviews special instructions for customer orders and verifies with production team to ensure instructions were followed.
- Prepares and tracks all internal shipping documents (internal/external) and monitors order status; escalates issues to leadership as required.
- Participates and engages in all problem-solving sessions related to identifying improvement opportunities for material handling or shipping.
- Communicates all operational issues related to truck shipping to leadership and the root cause.
- Facilitates all shipping opportunities; works cross functionally with manufacturing, customer service, and quality to coordinate shipments.
- Utilizes ERP query capabilities, answers and verifies appropriate shipment inquiries made by customers (carriers, customer service, supply planning, dispatchers, etc.).
- Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner.

Basic Requirements
- Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standard situations.
- Computer Skills – Basic computer skills are required to read work instructions, record job data, follow work schedule, and communicate via email.

Preferred Requirements

- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Helpful to have either a valid Class A or B License. Must be able to drive a standard shift 24’ box truck.
- Forklift & Forklift Clamp experience preferred.
- Paperboard folding carton industry experience.
- Experience in shipping and operating manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Flexible, adaptable, and teamwork oriented. Able to perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment; respond to continually changing priorities and co-ordinate multiple projects.
The physical requirements and work environment:
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift)
- Lifting/Carrying: Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive Motions: Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling.
- Visual/Manual Requirements: Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and excellent depth perception for moving bulky materials around.
Environmental Conditions
- Temperature: Work performed in a manufacturing environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Noise Level: Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided.
- Safety Gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes required.
- Other Factors: Occasional exposure to dust, or chemicals used in shipping/packing materials.
Schedule & Work Hours
- Full-time position; standard schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
