Casa de Amparo is currently seeking a Part-Time Licensed Outpatient Therapist and Clinical Supervisor to join their dedicated team. This recruitment effort is proudly supported by Mission Edge, partnering with Casa de Amparo to connect passionate individuals with meaningful opportunities in child welfare and residential care.
Casa de Amparo is a qualifying 501(c)(3) employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program making full-time employment eligible toward the 120 payments required for forgiveness, and participates in California's HCAI Health Care Workforce loan repayment programs, supporting clinicians in accessing repayment assistance designed to expand behavioral health access in underserved communities.
POSITION: Part-Time Licensed Outpatient Therapist & Clinical Supervisor
SITE: Oceanside
Salary: 50-60/hour
REPORTS TO: Chief Programs Officer
GENERAL FUNCTION: This position is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services as a Casa de Amparo employee embedded within the TrueCare outpatient network. The role involves delivering individual therapy while providing clinical supervision to associate-level staff, as needed. The therapist must facilitate collaborative treatment planning and consultation within Casa de Amparo and in cooperation with TrueCare partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensure: Must be currently licensed as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC with a valid BBS number.
- Supervisory Status: Must meet all California BBS requirements to provide clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians.
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Compliance: Must be able to be associated with Casa de Amparo through Community Care Licensing (CCL), including FBI, DOJ, and CACI clearance.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills. Intermediate computer literacy is required. English proficiency is required; bilingual Spanish is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to comply with employment requirements including CPR/Pediatric 1st Aid, TB clearance, and drug screen. Must have a clear DMV record and be at least 21 years of age.
MAJOR TASKS:
- Clinical Supervision: Provide consistent, high-quality clinical supervision to associate-level therapists, ensuring adherence to state licensing board standards.
- Therapeutic Services: Provide comprehensive therapy (individual, group, and family) and parent education as appropriate for the outpatient setting.
- Assessment & Documentation: Administer assessments and complete required documentation, including Behavioral Health Assessments, Client Plans, and progress notes.
- Treatment Planning: Assess client needs, strengths, and level of functioning to establish psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Collaboration: Consult with Casa de Amparo leadership and TrueCare clinical teams regarding assessment and treatment.
- Productivity: Maintain contract productivity standards, prioritizing tasks to accommodate the daily needs of the outpatient setting.
- Flexibility: Provide services to clients not on a regularly assigned caseload to support the program during staff absences.
- Variable Hours: This is a part-time position; specific working hours and total weekly hours may vary depending on current contract requirements and caseload demands.
EFFECT ON END RESULT: This position ensures that specialty mental health services and clinical supervision are provided in a trauma-informed and culturally respectful manner to support the care and treatment of clients within the Casa de Amparo outpatient program embedded at TrueCare.
