The Sr. Manager, NJ Distributor Lead is responsible for leading distributor partnerships, driving execution of portfolio priorities, and ensuring alignment between Moet Hennessy, the distributor, and the sales organization. This role achieves success by influencing distributor strategy, establishing and managing KPI’s, and supporting sales teams to maximize brand performance
Office/Location: Based in New Jersey and Remote in market based on business needs.
Compensation: $130,000-$163,000/ annually + bonus
Job responsibilities
Distributor Management
- Manages day-to-day relationship with distributors for Key accounts within market
- Communicates guidelines & expectations to distributors to ensure flawless execution across all channels within scope, brand
objectives and strategies, and to deliver targets
- Tracks distributor KPIs, based on brand/market priorities; takes corrective action as necessary
- Drives distributor to meet sales & depletion goals & execute the national and local program calendar
- Participation in Market/Maison visitors, blitzes, and distributor education
- Managing ways of working between merchandising team and distributor
Account Management
- Sells in MH brands/products, selecting relevant activations/programs/tactics for each account
- Identify opportunities for bespoke programs, deeper brand education, and upsell, bringing in appropriate MH resources
- Visits accounts to maintain relationships, monitors performance, and gathers updates
- Acts as consultant to on portfolio opportunities and growth via advice, education, programming, creative ideas, and analysis to accounts
- Leads trade advocacy initiatives and maintain relationships with key accounts
- Maintains on-call communication to ensure expectations met in customer relationship
- Works hand in hand with distributor sales reps for pricing and fulfillment support
- Ensures account needs for programs and activations are met and executed within MH brand guidelines
- Builds a key account plan through longer term account partnerships & ongoing programming
- Informs the channel lead or market lead of opportunities, risks, and competitive intel
- Participation in Market/Maison visitors, blitzes, and distributor education
Relationship Management:
- Partners with Field Trade Marketing & Experiential Development to execute programs/experiences in accounts
- Partners with Distributor to manage order execution
- Manage and coach entry-level team members, including interns and Management Trainees (MTs), to support account execution, program implementation, and professional development.
Profile
Education
Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required.
Professional Experience
7+ years of professional experience within sales and marketing in wine and spirits
Practical/Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of and delivery on consumer expectations within channel
- Able to maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset by continually evaluating, revising, and responding with agility to meet rapidly evolving business needs
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to manage and grow key account relationships
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques and distributor networks
- Well-developed finance and budget management skills

- Ability to act as a liaison between distributor and other stakeholders

This role requires frequent driving to support account visits, transport POSM, and meet essential business needs. Driving is an essential function of the position. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Eligibility for a company vehicle is subject to a satisfactory driving record and completion of the Company’s approval process.
Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
