- Operational Excellence: Drive process improvements and leverage emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, profitability, scalability, and overall service quality.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, coach, and develop managers and senior staff, fostering technical expertise, leadership growth, and a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Firm Strategy Collaboration: Partner with firm leadership on strategic initiatives, capacity planning, operational improvements, and long-term growth objectives.
- Business Development & Growth: Identify opportunities for expanded client services, strengthen existing client relationships, and contribute to new business development efforts.
- Industry & Community Representation: Represent the firm through networking, business development activities, and participation in community and professional organizations.
- Technical Leadership: Stay ahead of evolving tax laws and industry developments while helping lead internal education and training initiatives on emerging issues and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation strongly preferred.
- Certification: Active CPA license required.
- Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience with significant tax leadership and client management responsibility.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, pass-through, and multi-state taxation with the ability to navigate complex tax matters confidently.
- Client Leadership: Demonstrated success managing sophisticated client relationships and large-scale tax engagements with a consultative, service-focused approach.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor managers, develop high-performing teams, and lead within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical, high-level business and tax recommendations.
- Communication Excellence: Confident, polished communicator capable of advising executives, business owners, and internal leadership effectively.
- Operational Agility: Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and teams while maintaining exceptional quality and professionalism.
