Position Summary
This position performs a wide range of duties pertaining to site work. This individual will use power tools like jackhammers, drills, and concrete saws, and rakes/shovels to help form and finish conrete.
THIS IS A UNION POSITION - SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BECOME A MEMBER OF THE UNITED STEELWORKERS UNION LOCAL 14581, IF NOT ALREADY A CURRENT MEMBER.
Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate hand tools and power tools
- Read shop/engineering drawings and constructs forms per those specifications
- Move and assemble forms at pouring sites
- Flagging/Traffic Control
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Education/Experience
- Minimum of 6 months experience
- Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of hand tools and power equipment (e.g. table saw, chop saw, miter saw, hand saw, nail gun, hot-wire)
- Ability and willingness to learn and be trained
- Some construction experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Must work safely and be team oriented
- Good attendance and positive attitude
- Knowledge and skills to use basic tools
- Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
- Understands and can apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication & division)
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment screening.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes and Safety Vest.
- Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations

Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed
