MTC Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO serves as a key strategic partner, responsible for the overall financial health of the organization while leading the Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Information Technology functions. What You’ll Do
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Partner with the executive team to develop and execute organizational strategies and long-term objectives.
- Provide financial guidance and insights that support growth, profitability, and member value.
Team Leadership
- Direct the Accounting, Finance, Compliance and IT departments while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
Investment Management:
- Oversee the credit union’s investment portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, including financial forecasts and variance analysis.
Economic and Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions, and setting dividend and loan rates.
Compliance and Technology:
- Oversee the two departments to ensure they are aligned with credit union strategies and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, including BSA and OFAC requirements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of banking or credit union experience with progressive financial leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of Asset Liability Management (ALM), liquidity management, and investment strategies.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence organizational strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA and/or CPA designation.
- Prior executive leadership experience in a credit union or financial institution.
- Experience leading diverse functional areas, including finance, compliance, and technology.
- Demonstrated success leveraging technology to improve processes and drive organizational results.
