- Completes return to work/school slips in coordination with nurse.
- Performs data entry.
- Assists patients with Rx pick up.
- Assists in maintaining office equipment.
- Assists other team members as needed.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- Maintains knowledge of clerical duties, medical policies and procedures.
- Receives and directs visitors and patients.
- Monitors waiting areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and presentable at all times; verifies that televisions and other amenities are functioning properly and that all patients are checked in timely.
- Responsible for ensuring all patients are roomed prior to the end of the shift and notifying the clinical team before departure. May be required to remain on duty beyond the scheduled shift if patients are still waiting in the lobby. If security is present, the Registration Clerk may leave at the end of the shift once all patients have been registered.
- Attends at least 80% of staff meetings.
- Covers all clerical areas if needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
