HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDAY
Homestead-Miami Speedway has been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. The Speedway, which was founded by Miami businessman, racing enthusiast and philanthropist Ralph Sanchez, is a 650-acre facility that features a 1.5-mile oval and 2.21-mile road course. The Speedway hosts on-track events nearly 300 days per year and generates more than $301 million annually for the region. NASCAR crowned champions in all three of its national series at Homestead-Miami Speedway for 18 straight years (2002-19) and will once again host NASCAR Championship weekend in 2026.
Homestead-Miami Speedway is seeking a dependable and motivated General Maintenance team member to help maintain one of NASCAR's premier racing facilities. In this role, you'll help keep our buildings, grounds, and event spaces safe, clean, and race-ready while supporting the operations that deliver exceptional experiences for fans, competitors, and guests.
What You'll Do
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of buildings, grounds, and facility equipment.
- Complete minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and wall repair projects.
- Maintain walkways, grounds, and common areas using hand and power tools.
- Set up and tear down tables, chairs, furniture, and equipment for events and facility needs.
- Support race weekends, track rentals, and special events by assisting with facility preparation and operational needs.
- Help maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the Speedway.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- One or more years of maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and repair work.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
