Key Responsibilities
Billing
- Generate and issue accurate invoices based on contracts or service agreements
- Verify pricing, quantities, tax, and payment terms
- Resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams and customers
- Maintain up-to-date customer billing records
Collections
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports
- Follow up on past-due invoices via email and phone
- Document collection efforts and customer communications
- Negotiate payment plans when necessary
- Escalate delinquent accounts when appropriate
- Pull credit reports on potential and actual customers using reports from Moody’s, D&B, Ansonia and Creidtsafe
General Accounting Support
- Post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards)
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close and reporting
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 1–4 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organization
