The Product Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting product, service, and client portal data to evaluate engagement, adoption, performance, and overall effectiveness. This role supports the Product team by transforming data into actionable insights that inform product strategy, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement efforts
The Product Analyst will design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports, identify and connect relevant data sources, define meaningful success metrics, and provide recommendations to help measure the impact of products, services, and digital client experiences. This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret product, service, client portal, and business performance data to evaluate adoption, engagement, utilization, effectiveness, and value.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations that provide visibility into product performance, client usage, and business outcomes.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc analysis for Product leadership and business stakeholders, highlighting trends, gaps, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Product leadership to define success measures, KPIs, benchmarks, and outcome metrics for products, services, features, launches, and enhancements.
- Identify, evaluate, and connect relevant data sources to improve visibility into product usage, client behavior, engagement, and service effectiveness.
- Combine data from multiple sources to compare product usage against client outcomes, including retention, engagement, performance trends, class participation, or composite data where available.
- Measure the impact of product launches, enhancements, process changes, and client portal improvements.
- Support pre-build opportunity validation by assessing estimated value, expected usage, available data, success measures, and expected business impact.
- Help evaluate the cost, effort, and value of maintaining existing products, recurring reports, dashboards, or product features.
- Identify products, features, reports, or tools with low adoption, unclear value, or opportunities for improvement.
- Translate complex data findings into clear summaries, business narratives, visualizations, and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and integrity in reporting processes, dashboards, data definitions, and measurement practices.
- Proactively recommend improvements to reporting efficiency, dashboard usability, product measurement, and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in an analyst, product analyst, business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills.
- Experience collecting, interpreting, and presenting data to support business decisions.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful insights, recommendations, and business narratives.
- Proficiency with data analytics, dashboarding, reporting, and visualization tools.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- SQL experience preferred.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics/visualization tools preferred.
- Experience with product KPIs, adoption metrics, engagement analytics, ROI analysis, customer/client behavior analysis, or outcome measurement preferred.
- Experience working with product, client engagement, operational, digital platform, CRM, web analytics, or client portal usage data is a plus.
- Familiarity with product management, product ownership, roadmap prioritization, or opportunity validation concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts, correlation analysis, cohort analysis, or outcome measurement is a plus.
- Comfortable learning and using modern productivity, documentation, analytics, and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
