Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

- Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred if applicable).
- Previous experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, behavioral health, or acute care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Summary
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the top leader at Neulife Rehabilitation of Kentucky II, responsible for the overall leadership, operations, performance, and health of the organization. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional leadership skills, and strong decision-making capabilities to drive innovation, organizational growth, and operational excellence. The ED ensures the delivery of high-quality clinical care while managing census, staffing, compliance, and fiscal performance. They also oversee implementation of sales, marketing, and business development strategies in alignment with corporate goals.
Essential Responsibilities
LeadershipStrategic Oversight
- Provide leadership for all departments and ensure operations align with the organization's mission, values, and goals.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the facility.
- Ensure a high-quality experience for persons served and their families.
- Serve as a liaison between the facility and corporate leadership.
- Lead the execution of the facility's strategic 2-year plan in partnership with the COO.
- Develop the facility's organizational structure and ensure efficient daily operations.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable culture throughout the facility.
- Mentor and develop department heads and leadership staff.
Clinical Oversight
- Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical services including nursing, therapy, and direct care staff.
- Ensure care practices are person-centered, evidence-based, and in line with regulatory standards.
- Review, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality care.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and professional development.
- Ensure timely and comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans for all persons served.
- Serve as a liaison with healthcare providers, referral sources, and regulatory bodies.
ComplianceQuality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as accrediting and licensing bodies.
- Act as the State-named Administrator and primary liaison with funding sources.
- Report all inspections, incidents, legal inquiries, and correspondence to the COO and corporate on the day of receipt.
- Investigate and report suspected mistreatment or violations of policy.
Business OperationsFiscal Management
- Drive census, manage utilization, and maintain financial viability of the facility.
- Assist with billing, rate setting, collections, and fee schedules.
- Identify risks and opportunities to protect and grow the business.
- Develop and monitor the facility's budget and revenue goals.
Ensure accurate reporting of weekly financial, operational, and staffing updates to the COO.- Lead local implementation of corporate marketing and organic business development strategies.
Human Resources
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain high-performing staff in collaboration with HR.
- Ensure staff performance aligns with company standards and policies.
- Promote employee engagement and provide opportunities for growth and advancement.
- Implement and enforce company HR policies and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure compliance with EEOC and employment standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky; BSN or advanced degree preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in healthcare or rehabilitation preferred.
- Proven leadership in clinical operations, preferably with brain and spinal cord injury populations.
- Strong understanding of clinical best practices, regulatory compliance, and person-centered care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop strategies, and execute plans effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Must pass a Level 2 criminal background check.
Must be CPR certified and TB screened.- Must be willing to obtain CBIS certification (company provided).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position and operate computers and office equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours and respond to emergencies as needed (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
