We are currently recruiting for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I) to work with adults with developmental and related disabilities in a residential program setting in Edison, NJ. The qualified candidate will provide nursing care to group home residents while ensuring the general well-being of each individual served.
Job Responsibilities of an LPN I:
- Responsible for coordinating medical care for the individuals served and providing training to LPNs, DSPs, and the Management team.
- Administers medication and medical treatments as required and completes documentation
- Accompanies individuals to and from medical appointments and activities as needed
- Assists with activities of daily living as needed
- Data entry using Therap (EHR)
- Implements medically prescribed diets and exercise programs
- Completes documentation that is necessary for program operations promptly
- A valid NJ State Practical Nurse License
- HS diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license in good standing is required and must be insurable under NJID's automobile insurance.
- Experience with g-tube feedings
- Experience working with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities preferred
Location: Edison County: Middlesex
Hours Per Work Week: 40 Weekly Work Schedule: Based on the needs of the program
Other shifts are available at this location.
