Job Summary: Responsible for the visual inspection and part quality standard inspection of assigned presses.
Essential Functions:Level I:
- Retrieve parts from injection molding presses
- Any issue with machine / diverter shoot to be reported to Team Lead/ Tech
- Complete Quality Visual Inspection
- Ability to interpret inspection results and report results (changes) to tech.
- Complete Part Quality Standard Inspection using calipers, gages, Keyence video comparator, colorimeter, Force Testing, moisture Analyzer and scales
- Ability to interpret inspection results and report results (changes) to tech.
- Document inspection findings on inspection reports / electronic data collection system
- Assist in Containment process activities
- Assist in Clean Point Activity
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Assist in Pack Station Audit
- Overtime as needed
- All Essential Functions from Level I plus:
- Ability to show investigation skills to improve quality system (Kaizen)
- Support training of new associates
- Create Lab work orders using Lab database for any quality standard lab requirements on shift
- All Essential Functions from Level I & II plus:
- Support and Train Quality Auditors on shift
- Work closely with production management to investigate root cause and initial countermeasures for quality issues
- Report Quality findings to management via email and reports (as soon as possible)
- Complete cleanpoint fully and interpret results
- Complete training of new associates
- Ability to make internal quality reports (IQR)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous quality experience a plus
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret part quality standards
- Plastic injection molding experience a plus
- Have good people/interpersonal skills
- Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time
