Job Summary: Responsible for preparing all necessary materials to allow successful molding of parts. Includes, but not limited to, material drying, transfer, preparation, and equipment cleaning.
Essential Functions:
- Safety
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and expectations (wear required PPE, follow safety protocols, and report any safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses in a timely manner)
- Familiar with and can locate Safety Data Sheet
- Understands OSHA’s “Right to Know” Policy
- 5S
- Follow 5S procedure and guidance
- Keep work area clean at all times
- Assure proper clean point at production start-up
- Product Quality
- Good understanding of the NIFCO Quality Policy
- Identification and handling of non-conforming products
- Skill and knowledge to read the Part Quality Standard – “PQS”
- Inform Molding Supervisor and/or Process Technicians when nonconformity is found
- Mold Change
- Cleaning of hopper and material holder
- Cleaning of grinder
- Cleaning of material dryer and blender
- Understand Maguire Blender operation
- Accurately fill out Mold Change Checklist
- Delivering Material
- Material preparation
- Mixing of concentrate
- Deliver materials to injection molding machines to assure no material related downtime
- Maintain material traceability during material transfers by accurately filling out the Material Log sheet
- Accurately fill out Material Tags
- Other Duties
- Ensure the IATF16949 (latest revision) standard related to Manufacturing are followed
- Daily scrap collection and recording
- Other assigned tasks by Molding Supervisor or Production Manager as needed
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Must complete all safety and environmental trainings required
- Forklift Operation certified (by NIFCO)
- Basic knowledge of injection molding process and materials
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be able to do simple math calculations
