Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for sustaining high volume production, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, continuous improvement activities related to process and equipment and support of Production. Will enable next generation components and systems related to semiconductor diodes lasers, optics, and fiber coupled devices.

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Reporting to Manufacturing, oversee the operation of automated production tools, ensuring high quality, throughput and utilization.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, perform routine data collection, and effectively communicate the status of tools and proposed solutions.
- Help define and then execute routine process equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Work collaboratively with process engineering to manage specific processes and assist in defining and executing continuous process improvements with a focus on projects that reduce PM or tool down durations, improve safety/ergonomics, and reduce tool interrupts.
- Leadership in support, training, and certification of Production Personnel
- Support engineering in documenting of processes in Prototype and High-volume lines.
- Lead by example in eliminating equipment issues from Production’s critical path.
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities utilizing wide variety of analytical techniques (such as SPC, DOE, Gage R&R), lean manufacturing, and six sigma concepts.
- Preform manufacturing builds and other production tasks as needed to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as an MSIII or 1+ years of experience in high volume production environment working with electronics, semiconductor equipment, or opto-mechanical assemblies, as a technician
- Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Demonstrated basic understanding of technology and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to use common hand tools such as multimeters and other tools necessary for performing in the role.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills and comfortable learning new tools and processes
- Able to follow prescribed OCAP for the issue.
- Complete all assigned Litmos courses.
- Work is closely observed, controlled, and checked; detailed guides and instructions apply.
- Ability to perform simple routine tasks. Ability to use tools and power equipment in the performance of duties.
- Ability to read and work from sketches, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to work as a team member and share skills.
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals and groups who come from diverse backgrounds.
- Ensures clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
- Receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision.
- Starting pay depends on qualifications:
- Manufacturing Technician I - $22.37 to $27.00 per hour
- Manufacturing Technician II - $23.67 to $28.00 per hour
- Shift differentials are paid at the rate of 10% for hours worked between 5:30PM and 12:00AM and at 15% for hours worked between 12:00AM and 5:30AM
- Eligible for health benefits on the 1st day of the month after your start date
