Under the cooperative direction of the Director of men and women’s track & field, the essential functions and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: assisting in the recruitment of qualified student-athletes; organizing and planning practice, communicating with strength and conditioning staff and writing strength and conditioning program for team members; assisting with camps, scheduling, meet management, and other duties assigned. Complying with NCAA, Summit League and University rules and regulations. Primary coaching emphasis is on horizontal events and high jump.
Hiring Range:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong background in intercollegiate track & field with a skill analysis and technique emphasis in the horizontal events and high jump
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in strength training
- Thorough knowledge, understanding, experience and commitment to NCAA compliance
Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and the public.
- Demonstrated professional behavior.
Core Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
