Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Test & Evaluation Manager 2 position. The selected candidate will be responsible for the functional management of the Test & Evaluation Lab Cognizant Engineers, Lab Designers, Cyber Engineers, Software Engineers and Technicians supporting RAD programs in Melbourne, FL. This is a dual role Section Manager (Functional Role) and Individual contributor (Program Role).
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) THE FOLLOWING:
- Lead a section of Test & Evaluation engineers (10 -15 employees)
- Instruct, mentor and champion agile concepts and processes
- Be responsible for hiring, development, training, and retention of section talent. Hiring will include university and experienced hiring.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members and manage employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers)
- Responsible for day-to-day operation of the organization including employee movement, balancing of resources among programs, and resolving critical/urgent program/technical issues.
- Promote the professional development of the Systems Engineering team and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement.
- Provide clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, creates an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance.

Typical duties include:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of combined technical and management experience, or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of combined technical and management experience.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Operations Analysis, Modeling and Simulation, Systems Analysis, System Architecture, Mission Integration or Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience leading an engineering team or project
- Familiarity with AGILE/SCRUM Master, MBSE with CAMEO, DODAF 2.0
- Familiarity with AFSIM Modeling and SIM
- Must have a current DoD Secret clearance and a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 5 years
- Previous experience working in a SAP/SAR environment.
- Ability to obtain SAP access.

- Agile project management (manage & prioritize workflow)
- Ability and desire to provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to direct reports
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SSBI, or Active DoD Top Secret with SCI within 4 years of last investigation
- Program access to all major NGAS programs.
