Position Summary
From our Arctic® apple pressing to packaged cider and everything in between, this role is integral to ensuring our operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be at ease on the production floor and dedicated to maintaining our high standards. To create top-quality cider, we need a team player who is adaptable and capable of handling both simple and complex tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Cider Operations Manager to help meet our production goals.
- Be part of our innovation team and help with blending decisions on new and existing products.
- Receive, execute, and document work orders and cleaning procedures.
- Press, ferment, blend, and package hard cider.
- Clean, sanitize, and return all equipment and tools used for the day to their proper storage area.
- Operate processing equipment.
- Prepare shipments for delivery.
- Operating a forklift to move apple bins, pallets, barrels, and other equipment.
- Help at various public beer/wine/cider tasting festivals.
- Work safely and participate in maintaining health and safety standards.
- Experience in cider, wine, or beer production.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Open-minded to new ideas and confident in sharing your ideas.
- Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, while keeping safety, quality, and efficiency top of mind.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, stoop, lift, lean, and squat.
- Frequently asked to climb stairs, ladders, and operate a scissor lift.
- Perform some repetitive motion activities.
- Certified or possesses the skills to be certified on a forklift and scissor lift.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in cold, hot, and wet environments.
- Available to work Monday-Friday and on occasional weekends.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Annual paid sick leave will be accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked and available to be used after 90 days of employment.
- Annual paid vacation leave will be accrued up to 40 hours annually and available to be used after 90 days of employment.
