WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provides direct services to clients seeking assistance from the agency’s Energy Assistance programs, which provide benefit determination, education, and information. Encourages client self-sufficiency by providing advocacy, information, and referrals to Opportunity Council and other social service programs. Serves as a key link between clients and community resources and procedures. Performs a variety of moderately complex clerical and administrative functions, including client intake, scheduling, accurately calculating income levels, eligibility determination, data entry, and providing exceptional customer service.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides scheduled direct services that include eligibility screening for multiple services, determining financial eligibility, problem solving, needs assessment, referrals, explanation of agency programs and services, and problem solving.
- Provides information and referral to clients regarding agency programs and other community agencies and resources.
- Performs moderately complex data entry including client information.
- Advocates for clients to maintain utility service and/or heating fuel supply in home.
- Processes information related to clients, which is confidential and maintains confidentiality of all data in accordance with agency, state, and federal guidelines.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- High-school diploma or GED.
- Two years relevant experience.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and five-year driving history within Opportunity Council’s Auto Insurance Standards.
