DELIVERY DRIVER
Reports To: Parts Manager
Summary
The overall goal of the Parts Delivery Driver is to support the sales efforts and effectively deliver products to and from our customers. The Parts Delivery Driver will safely operate and maintain company equipment and provide representation for the organization. The Parts Delivery Driver will be an advocate for the Palmer Road Map and strive to promote a better workplace every day through a positive attitude and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts weekly maintenance checks utilizing the vehicle maintenance form to record the safety and functionality of the assigned vehicle.
- Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles (interior & exterior) in accordance with company policy.
- Perform accurate picking & packaging of orders to fulfill customers’ requests.
- Communicate order accuracy to sales personnel and/or customers.
- Plan routes for efficient delivery while maintaining positive customer expectations.
- Ensure all orders are delivered safely and accurately to customers.
- Act as an extension of the organization, promoting goods and services while building customer relationships.
- Collect, secure, and properly document payment for all orders delivered.
- Assist with stocking, pulling, and other business errands as needed when primary tasks are completed.
- Assist in answering phones when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Other Requirements
Candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate motor vehicles. All drivers must maintain a safe driving record.
Working hours: Pickup truck or Van drivers may work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on the nature of their job. They may also be required to work long hours or be on-call for deliveries or specific assignments.
The working conditions for this position are primarily outdoors, year-round, with varying weather and road conditions.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Mobility: The individual should be able to move easily in and out of the truck and perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and climbing in and out of the cargo area.
Vision: Good eyesight and visual acuity are important for the individual to operate the vehicle safely, read signs, and navigate the road.
Hearing: The individual should have good hearing to be alert to sounds such as sirens, horns, and other road-warning signals.
Manual dexterity: The individual should have good manual dexterity to operate the vehicle's controls, including the steering wheel, pedals, and other dashboard controls.
Lifting: While heavy lifting may not be a frequent requirement, the individual may occasionally need to load and unload items from the truck's cargo area, which may involve lifting and carrying moderate-weight objects.
