Job Title: Commercial – Wheel Refurbish Technician
This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM
Job Summary:
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Clean and prepare used rims for paint application.
- Apply powder coating to rims.
- Cure rims in oven.
- Keep service area clean to enhance a safe work environment.
- Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
- Communicate safety concerns and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediately.
- Assist Truck Tire Service Technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a service-related industry
- Forklift certification preferred, training will be provided
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations.
- Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues.
- Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
- Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical.
- Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers.
Required Physical Abilities:
Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
